William A. Pelletreau LLC

William A. Pelletreau is a widely respected attorney, having practiced law for more than 39 years in Connecticut. Born in Norwalk, CT and a business owner in the community for decades, he is an advocate for people of Norwalk and the surrounding communities. He is a graduate of Northwood School in Lake Placid, New York, Class of 1969, and is a 1973 graduate of University of New Hampshire with a BA in History. He is a 1980 graduate of University of Bridgeport School of Law (now Quinnipiac University School of Law).

Attorney Pelletreau was appointed to the State’s Attorney’s Office as a Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney in GA 20, Norwalk Superior Court in September 1980; and served in that capacity for three years. Since leaving the State’s Attorney’s Office, he has been in private practice ever since handling numerous felony and misdemeanor matters including, but not limited to, murder, narcotics, organized crime, burglaries, larcenies, robberies, assault, sexual assaults, DUIs, manslaughter with a motor vehicle, and firearms violations. In addition, he handles Personal Injury litigation, Matrimonial matters, Probate and Real Estate.

Attorney Pelletreau has also appeared and argued in the Supreme Court of Connecticut. Attorney Pelletreau has completed many trials in the above categories as well as various divorce, personal injury, civil trials, and probate matters.

Attorney Pelletreau is a second generation Norwalk lawyer, his father - also William Pelletreau - practiced in the City from 1944 until his death in 1989.

Attorney Pelletreau is admitted to practice before the State Courts in Connecticut the U.S. District Court for Connecticut, and the U.S District Court for the Southern District of New York. Attorney Pelletreau is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Norwalk/Stamford Bar Association, and the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
